Our Thanksgiving!!

This Thanksgiving I had two friends that didn't really have a place to go for Thanksgiving dinner, so I decided that I would cook and invite them over. It was my FIRST Thanksgiving dinner that I had cooked all by myself. I have to say that I was pretty PROUD of myself! It was so fun to be able to have it at my house and have people come over. It definitely doesn't seem like it is Thanksgiving "time".

After we had stuffed ourselves, Brian had convinced us to go shooting. We Shot a 22 hand gun, and 9mm hand gun, and a 20 gage shot gun. It was alot of fun. I don't know why I like to shoot them, because I definitely don't like them in my house. Anyways, it was a ton of fun.

I just want to say that I am so thankful for my FAMILY and FRIENDS!! I am also so thankful to be an AMERICAN and the FREEDOMS that brings. I am so thankful to all the soldiers that defend our freedoms and the sacrifices they make doing that. I am thankful for the ATONEMENT of Jesus Christ. He provides me with comfort and love. This time of year I think alot of people forget what we are celebrating. I think it is important to never forget or take advantage of what Christ has done for all of us. I am so thankful to be a member of the LDS church! Without that I don't think I would be same person I am today.

All about Brian(tag)

1. Where did you meet your husband? The very first time was at a stake dance. He just came up and kissed me on the cheek. What a weirdo! Then about a year later we had a science class together. He did all my homework for me. What a nice guy after all.

2. How long did you date before you were married? We dated my junior year (his senior year). He left for the Marines the summer/fall before my senior year. He came home in January from an injury. We were engaged Dec. 2002 and married July 2004.

3. How long have you been married? 4 years and 4 months.

4. What does he do that surprises you? Every once and a while he will bring home flowers for me. He also will help me clean up the house without even being asked lately!!

5. Favorite Quality? He is a hard worker. He is going to school full time and still manages to get as many hours at work as they will give him so that I can stay home with Hunter. I don't tell him enough how much I appreciate him for this. He is an awesome father, he would do anything for Hunter. He is even the one that gets up at night with him!!

6. Favorite Features? His "little boy" grin, his eyes. Well everything about him is my favorite.

7. Does he have a nickname for you? Honey, umm....some pretty embarrassing ones that I'm gonna leave out.:)

8. Favorite Food? Anything Mexican. He loves spicy food. He also loves my tater tot green bean casserole.

9. Favorite sport? Well before he got hurt he loved to go rock climbing and float the river(doing dangerous stuff), he loves to fish and go hunting when he has any free time, which is very rare.

10. When and where was your first kiss? Well we were still in high school. He was over at my house just hanging out. I walked him to his car and he kissed me under a full moon. How romantic huh?!!

11. What is your favorite thing to do together? Well I would say going to the movies and dinner, alone! I think he would say just hanging out at home.

12. Do you have children? Just 1, Hunter. He turned a year in October.

13. Does he have any hidden talents? Well, he is a very good singer.

14. How old is he? He is 24.

15. Who said I love you first? I can't remember, but when I have asked him about this he's pretty sure he did it.

16. What is his favorite music? He likes pretty much anything.

17. What do you most admire about him? His willingness to help others. He would help just about anyone.

18. What is his favorite color? Blue or Red, I'm not quite sure.

19. Will he read this? Maybe, if I tell him to.

20. Who do you tag? Amy, Kalie, Lynette, and Devoney

What we've been up to

My mom finally moved to Salt Lake, so I spent the last week down there visiting and helping unpack. It was so nice to see her and be able to just "hang out". Hunter has been learning so much lately. He now says "what's this" which comes out ss tis. He points at everything and says what's this. It is so cute. In Relief Society today I stood up with him in the back of the room, there is a picture of Christ and he pointed right at Him and said "what's this". I told him it was Jesus and he got the biggest smile on his face and cuddled right into me. He is such a sweet boy. I truly believe that Hunter had a very close relationship to Christ, since he was born he would always stare at the picture of Christ that we have in our living room and any time he sees a picture of Him he always gets a big smile on his face. Another thing that Hunter does is hit people. I don't know how to make him stop doing that. Any time he hits me I always say "owie" and he loves me better. So you all notice that I have changed my back ground to Christmas and my music is now Christmas music. I couldn't help it. I LOVE Christmas. I didn't decorate last year because we had just moved and Hunter was only 2 months old. So I am making up this year, I have lights out on my patio and lights on my counter(I know that sound weird, but it looks really pretty). I don't have any pictures, I left my camera at my mom's house. I am begging her to visit this weekend and bring my camera with her. So as soon as I get my camera back I will post pictures.

Mommy's little helper!!

Hunter is into everything!! If I am doing laundry he always tries to climb into the dryer. Well we were at my dad's house and my step mom let him climb right in. He loved it. He thought it was the best thing ever and couldn't stop laughing. Now I just have to teach him how to do the laundry!

Halloween!

On Thursday the library had story time and trick or treating, so my friend Amy and I met up with our kids. It was Hunters nap time so he didn't love it, but Karley did so it was worth it. Outside the library there are a ton of leaves on the ground and both Hunter and Karley loved playing in them. They have finally started to play together and it is so fun to watch.
Friday afternoon Toys R Us was having a trick or treating parade sort of thing. My cousins, Holli and Kristy and their kids, all met up and went to all the stations. Geoffrey the Giraffe was there and I wanted a picture of Hunter and him, but he wouldn't hold still so I had to be in the picture.

(We carved our pumpkins a little early I guess because the faces all started to cave in. Hunter's is the smiley face, Brian's is the middle one, and mine was the one on the right it is supposed to say trick or treat.)

Halloween night we met up with my step-sisters kids and my step-mom and trick or treated their neighborhood. My dad has a big wagon and we just pulled them from house to house. Hunter really enjoyed getting in and out of the wagon. This has been a fun Halloween, it was warmer than usual and Hunter was able to participate. Thanks to Kristy and Holli for the costume, it is so cute and it was perfect!!
