Our Salt Lake Trip

We went to American Fork, UT this past weekend to see my grandparents before they entered the MTC. They were called to go to Micronesia. They will be on the Gilbert Islands for the next 18 months. It is down by Figi, so it is tropical weather, it never gets below 70 or higher than 90!! I am so happy for them that they will be able to have this great experience. My grandma is a nurse so she will be the nurse of all the missionaries. There is about 30 of them spread out over all the islands. There is no doctor on the island. He lives in Hawaii about 3,000 miles away. They are nervous, but I know that they will be fine and do a great job!! I will miss you grandpa and grandma!!

We stayed at my Uncle Scott's house while we were down in American Fork, it was a lot of FUN!! Hunter had to bathe in the kitchen sink and he thought it was the best thing ever. He was smiling the entire time. What a cute boy!!

My mom bought Hunter a jumper while we were down there. He officially has a horse now. He loves it. He doesn't ever stop jumping. He will jump really hard and then laugh. He is growing up so fast. He will be 7 months on the 3rd, I can't even believe it. We love him sooooo much!!!

Spring has sprung in Utah. There are leaves on the trees and the grass is green. The flowers are all in bloom. It was really depressing knowing I had to come back to this weather. It was 80 on Sunday and Monday! Before I dropped my mom off at the airport we went to Temple Square. It was soooo beautiful. We were walking up close to the Temple and an older missionary started talking to us, and come to find out they served a mission in Nauvoo with Cecil and Norma, my great aunt and uncle. What a small world!! We were able to have lunch at this really cute little restaurant, The Lion House Pantry. It was part of Brigham Young's home. We had a lot of fun on this trip!

After dropping my mom off at the airport we went to the Hogle Zoo! It was so much fun and the weather was so nice.
There was an exhibit for an albino alligator. I have never seen one, even on TV, so it was really neat. The exhibit was 100 degrees and like 100% humidity. After taking this picture my batteries died. So we decided we will have to go back this summer to get more pictures! They had a few different types of monkeys that had babies on display and there was a baby giraffe. What a weekend! I LOVE spending time with my family, we always have the best times!!!

Now that Hunter has been crawling for about 3 weeks he has decided that it is time to start to pull himself up to everything. He started in his crib, he was so excited that he did it that he could stop smiling or chewing on the rail.

Brian hasn't had much time to do the things he enjoys. Between school, work and family time, he has no extra time. Finally he was able to play his PlayStation and Hunter wanted to help him. Brian got out a spare controller and it is now Hunters favorite new toy. He drags it everywhere he goes, it is pretty cute to watch him do it!! It also works well for a teething toy too.

Fun Times!

This picture is of Karley, my best friend Amy's little girl, and Hunter. We go visit them atleast once a week. Karley loves Hunter and is always helpful! She is always trying to give his binkie to him and when he is asleep she always says "shh...baby sleeping". They are so cute together.
We went to the zoo the 1st weekend it opened. They had a baby camel and a baby lion, which was neat to see. We met up with Kacie, my step-sister, and Kayla's kids. Hunter didn't really care about the animals, but he loved riding along in his stroller and being outside!
This picture is of Aodhan and Kyle sitting on the fake lion! Aodhan just turned 1 and Kyle is now 4, I can't believe how fast they grow up!
On Sunday we went to the river to feed the ducks and take a walk. The weather was finally beautiful. Hunter loved being out in the warm weather, but eventually fell asleep. He is getting so big so fast. He is now crawling every where and pulling himself up to things. He seems to like to try to crawl up my leg. I hope that he enjoys crawling for a while, I don't know if I am ready for him to be walking any time soon! Oh my gosh, I am way to into blogging, I just looked over at Hunter to see him gaging on a piece of paper. He is into everything. I guess I need to do this when he is sleeping, LOL!!

And he's off!

Hunter officially started crawling on my birthday! What a great little present, I think. Right now he is pretty slow to get to places, but I'm sure within the next few days he will gain speed, then I'll be in trouble. He gets so excited about what he is crawling to that sometimes he trips over his arms. What a cute little baby!

Hunter's Photo Shoot

Hunter had a photo shoot today, and I think it turned out great! We went to my cousin Holli's house and she took some pictures for us. She is pretty talented!! These are my top 3 favorites! Thank you so much Holli!!!

Hunter is almost crawling!!

Hunter is so close to crawling!! Ever since he saw his cousin crawling all over he has been up on his knees wiggling back and forth. He reminds me of a frog, he wiggles really fast then he leaps forward. It is so cute! I have been trying for a couple of days to get video of it, but he only does it for a couple of seconds. Soon he'll be off and there will be no stopping him.

Attack of the Ducks

Today we decided to go feed the ducks and walk around the river. It was a beautiful day, except the wind! When we got down to the river there were a ton of ducks. We got out of the car and immediately there they were making there honking noises at us. There were practically in our faces. It was a little scary. I decided to go down to the river while Brian was swarmed with the ducks. I was feeding some of the ducks that were in the water and Brian finally made his way down to us and following him were all of the crazy ducks. He was able to feed the ducks by hand. Maybe they have been deprived all winter, I don't know. It was crazy, because they were so close. I had to hide behind Hunters stroller. There were 2 really ugly ones that wouldn't leave me alone, I even started to kick at them but they didn't get the hint to leave. So beware of the crazy ducks at the river, they may attack you too!

This is one of the ugly ducks I am warning you of.
