Happy Birthday Brian!

Yesterday was Brian's 24th birthday! I can't believe how fast time has gone. It seems like yesterday we were in high school dating. I decided to make him his favorite dinner, tator tot casserole, and I made mint brownies. YUM!! My friend Katie came over to celebrate with us and she brought transformer party hats. He has wanted an ipod for a really long time so that is what he got. He also got a gift card to Sportsman Warehouse and a few games for the Nintendo DS that we have. I'm pretty sure he had a fantastic birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! We love you!!

Weekend Fun

The weather finally cooperated this weekend, so we took Hunter to the park the play in the grass. He loves being outside and being able to crawl through the grass. I couldn't wait for the weather to warm up. I love watching him play and exploring new things. It is so much fun being a mom!
We had to go to home depot this weekend and we ended up in the gardening sections, I couldn't help but buy a few flowers for our patio. I really wish I had a nice big yard to plant a ton of flowers in, but for now my patio will have to do. Brian also wanted to get a tomato plant to grow on the patio and we found a tomato plant just for growing on the patio. I just hope we don't end up killing it. Along with the tomato plant we bought a bell pepper and a jalapeno plant. If they actually produce something we might be able to make home made salsa! YUM!!

My New Walker/Bike

Hunter is now standing by himself for a few seconds, so yesterday we bought him and walker/bike. He is still a little confused at what he is supposed to do with it but he likes it. He mostly pulls it down on top of him. Hopefully he gets the hang of it.

We put him on the bike and he wouldn't let his feet hang. It was really cute. He was so excited he actually feel off. It's really fun to watch him learn new things.
Today we celebrated Teresa birthday, it's on Monday. We had a BBQ and ate outside. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the warm weather! Hunter has never felt grass before today so I let him crawl around in it. It was funny, he would run his left hand threw the grass and then he would crawl one step and run his hand threw the grass again. As I was taking pictures the cat sat right next to him and Hunter tried to put his tail right in his mouth, GROSS!! Luckily I was right there and stopped him from doing that. What a silly baby! We had such a nice day today, we even made it down to see my grandma.

Cranky Baby

Today Hunter has been so cranky. He woke up earlier than usual and then he would not take a nap. I finally just let him cry in his crib. I always feel horrible when I have to do that. He usually just goes right to sleep when I put him in his crib, but today that was not the case. I think he might be getting a tooth. He finally feel asleep and I went into cover him up and this is how he was sleeping. How uncomfortable can he be? I moved him and then 10 minutes later he woke up. I hope he will just go to bed early tonight. What a silly baby.
(Don't mind the mess, I am going through his clothes and putting the winter ones and the ones he out grew away.)

Hunter and Brian

Hunter has learned how to untie his bumpers and then he pushes it into the middle of his bed and tries to sleep on top of it. I didn't think that was the safest idea so I just took it out of the crib. One night after we had put him to bed Brian went into check on him and he had his legs dangling out of the crib. Hunter was all confused and he was stuck. Good thing Brian checked on him.

This week has not been a great one. Both Hunter and I have strep throat and he has an ear infection and I have a sinus infection. Brian took Friday off work to take care of Hunter so I could rest all day. He has been the best help ever! He got up all night long with him and he has changed every dirty diaper without me even asking!! Thanks Brian, you are the best husband ever!!
One night last week Brian decided to shave his head. I told him not to, but he didn't listen. If you know Brian you know that he has a fat head. He has 3 fat rolls on the back of his head and if you stare long enough it kinda looks like an Asian face. So my friend Katie had us over for dinner one night and she talked him into letting her paint a "geisha" face on the back of his head. I know it is hard to see the rolls but the eyes are in one and so are the lips. It is a little bit weird, I know. But Brian is a little weird, so it fits. After we left her house he even went into Albertsons like this. He said everyone was laughing at him, I wonder why.

Busy Baby

Hunter has been very busy lately. He loves to climb on everything. He keeps me running that's for sure! I'm a little nervous for him to start walking, he will be into everything. We have put his toys into a basket and he has learned to dump the whole thing over onto himself. He does it about 10 times every day. What a busy baby. You gotta love it!

My Cute Baby!

I might be a little bias, but I think Hunter is soooo cute! He always has a smile, for anyone and everyone. Lately when people talk to him or smile at him, he acts shy. He will bury his little head into my armpit. I love it, because he becomes cuddly for a split second. Since he has been sick he is now a total mama's boy. He will be playing on the floor and realize I am watching him play, then he will start to "fake" cry and crawl over to me and pull himself up my leg. I pick him up and give him a hug and a kiss and he is ready to play again. He does this all day long. He is such a joy to Brian and I, we don't know what we would do without him. I am so blessed that Heavenly Father choose me to be his mother. I love him with all my heart and would do anything for him!

Hunter and Animals

I just love this hat on Hunter. We were down in Utah a couple of weeks ago and the mall in Orem has a disney store, so my mom bought him a little jacket and a matching hat. Surprisingly Hunter leaves the hat on.
On Saturday we decided to go to Target for a few things and then as we were driving home we noticed that Petco had a pet adoption going on. Brian really wanted to go look at the dogs and show Hunter all the little animals. Hunter had really big eyes the whole time we were in there and wanted to get down and play with all the dogs. Brian was showing him all the reptiles and there is a really big pond of turtles. Hunter fell in love with them. He was laughing so hard and scratching at the glass. He had the biggest smile while he was looking at the turtles. Brian thinks we need to get him one. YUCK! They stink and I think I've heard they care some freaky disease.
After that we went over to my dads house to drop off Teresa mother's day card. My dad has 2 dogs that want to lick Hunter to death, and they just got a baby kitty. Kacie was walking around the river with one of her friends and saw someone trying to drowned 2 baby kitties so Kacie and her friend rescued them. As you can see by Hunters face he loved the kitty. He is turning out to be an animal lover. He isn't even scared of the dogs when they bark or get right up in his face. This is a little late but Happy Mother's Day to all you mom's!!

Winter or Spring?

So I am just on the computer like usual and I looked out my window to see snow falling. What the heck is going on? It is May 9th. Isn't spring supposed to be here? I hate this weather. I hear it is going to be in the high 70's next weekend. Hopefully that actually happens, and maybe without the nasty wind!

Sick Baby:(

Hunter has been coming down with something since Friday and it finally hit hard in the middle of the night. He began with watery eyes and being fussy, I just thought that it was allergies. Then on Sunday he was congested and still had watery eyes, and I still thought that he was just having really bad allergies. Then on Monday he had really thick green snot, and tons of it. Through the night he got worse. He began to cough, it was really deep and sounded painful. He would almost begin to cry every time he had to cough. Needless to say both Brian and I were up all night with him. Then at 5:30 he had a really high fever. I gave him some meds and it did finally go away. Poor guy. Through all this he has still been acting like himself, just a little more attached to me. He has been playing and smiling, which just melts my heart. I feel so bad for him. Every time he coughs I just about start crying with him. We did get into the doctors today and they said he has pink eye. YUCK!! I have no idea where he got it, but the doctor said that if someone else is sick he can get the infection in his eye. I still can't think of anyone who has been sick around him.

While we were at the doctors office today he started giving us kisses. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and then he turned and gave me a big opened mouth kiss. He is so sweet. He turned it into a game, I would kiss him then he would kiss me. Brian was feeling a little left out so he asked Hunter for a kiss and Hunter just leaned over and slobbered all of him. What a sweet boy!! Tonight he does seem like he is feeling a little bit better! I hope we get more rest tonight!

BBQ

Tonight we decided to have a BBQ at a local park. It was really fun, we invited a few of our friends. I made a couple of salads and Brian cooked the hamburgers and hot dogs. My friend Katie brought strawberry short cake, which was delicious.

We forgot a spatula to flip the burgers, so Biran had to use a fork. He was thrilled.
Hunter loved being outside for a change. He was so happy. Brian took him on a walk around the park to keep him entertained. He loved it!
This is my friend Stephanie, Katie and of course me. I love to get together with my friends. Since the winter has lasted forever we haven't done much of anything together. It was nice to see everyone tonight.
Hunter finally tuckered out. He was ready for the day to come to an end. He is so much fun!
