Easter!!

I love Easter! It's the perfect time for me to reflect and make sure that I am trying my best. This Easter Hunter actually kind of "got" it. He woke up and we showed him all of his Easter stuff and then he saw the eggs and went and put them in his basket! I thought that we might have to do it for him, but he did really good. Hunter was so spoiled this year. I got most of his stuff at Target in the dollar section! Gotta love the cheap stuff!! We went to church in the afternoon and then had my dad over for dinner. My step-mom is in Oklahoma for work so she wasn't in town this year. When I go to my cousin, Kristy, house her boys have play guns and Hunter loves them so I figured I couldn't go wrong with them and I was right. He hasn't put them down! He says bang bang and then we act like he got us and play dead, I know how horrible that sounds, but he laughs and laughs. Yesterday my dad said bang bang back at Hunter and he grabbed his chest and said OOOO and fell on the ground. It was really funny. He's getting to be so big. I love it!

Some Funnies!

So I just wanted to write down some of the things that Hunter has been doing lately so I don't forget them. Yesterday I was in his bedroom calling for him so that I could get him dressed, he usually comes right away. When he didn't come I came out to the kitchen to find him with a bottle of lotion. He had screwed the lid off and was eating it. How gross, but so a Hunter thing to do. Today I was getting him dressed and left him on his changing table for 3 seconds while I got a sweatshirt out of his closet. When I turned around he had dumped his bottle of baby powder all of his lap. He thought that was pretty funny and so did I. He also turned a banana chair over and is using it as a slide. Crazy boy! He laughed so hard when he turned it over. Anyways, these things are probably not funny to most of you, but I didn't want to forget them so I had to blog it!

Fun Times!

On the only nice day in March we took Hunter to the park to play. He loved it. They have lots of things to do at this particular park. It usually crowded, but on this day it wasn't so that was nice.
Last weekend my mom offered to babysit overnight and let us have night away!! It was so nice, thanks mom! We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and went to the Cheesecake Factory. I have never been there, it was good. We had to wait for like 2 hours though. On Saturday we went to Temple Square and walked around. It was so nice out. We were able to toured the Conference Center. I took a picture of the pulpit because they said it's normally down, so people can't see it. On that day they were actually cleaning or something like that and it was up. We were only 3 rows away from it and it is so beautiful so I had to take a picture, who knows if we will ever be that close to it again. After we were down walking around Temple Square we met my mom at Heritage Park. I have never been there and would recommend it to everyone! It is across the street from the Hogle Zoo, and is the place where Brigham Young had a vision of where the Temple would be built. They have a little village to tour and a train you can ride on. We weren't able to go to the village because they don't open that till May, but it was still fun.

Daddy takin' his boy for a walk. LOL. He is so fast so we decided to get him a "leash". It works really well, and allows him to walk by himself. He still falls alot so this helps with all the bumps and bruises!

Outside the Mayan restaurant is Salt Lake. They have a snake that curves around and serves as a bench. He loved playing on it!

He has really become interested in books! He wants to read them, but no be read to. Funny boy!

This was before church yesterday, Hunter was not holding still so I made Brian hold him. Hunter wasn't too happy about that.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

For St. Patrick's day this year, my friend Amy brought her kids over and we made GREEN sugar cookies. They weren't as green as I hoped they would be, but that's ok. We let Hunter and Karley decorate their very own cookies. I gave them each a bowl of icing and 3 cookies. Karley did awesome!! Hunter on the the other hand couldn't care less about decorating, he just wanted to eat the icing. I showed him how to do it and he still wouldn't even try it. It was still fun. The other day while we were at Target, our favorite store, we found matching shirts for all 3 kids. They say Kiss Me I'm Irish. They were on sale so we couldn't pass them up. It was a fun day and something different. They are so fun at this age!! Thanks for coming over Amy, it was a blast!!

Broken Camera

On Tuesday Brian accidentally broke my camera. It was on the table and he had put his jacket over it and when he grabbed his jacket it made my camera fall off and hit the ground. I didn't think any thing of it until he turned it on to get a picture of Hunter and the screen was cracked. We called Inkley's and it is going to cost $150 to repair it. The funny thing is we only paid $189 for it. So we are searching for a new one. I loved this camera, it was so easy to use and took really good pictures. So far we have been to 2 different stores and they don't have anything in our price range that is as good as my old one. I am so sad over it. I know it's just a camera but it is the thing that preserves our memories. Hopefully I can find a good one that doesn't break the bank!!

Gracie

I have been debating whether or not to post this. One morning a few months ago I couldn't sleep so I went from blog to blog and came across Gracie's blog. She has really touched me. She is a very sick little baby. She was born with a heart defect that is life threatening. Every few weeks I would check in just to see if she was doing ok. Well, the last few weeks she has gotten worse. She was going to go have a surgery done that would help her feel better, but her heart was to weak. They ended up listing her for a heart transplant. One week later she got one, except it wasn't a good heart. No one had any idea that it wasn't going to be a good heart until after they placed it in Gracie. She is now on life support and waiting for the doctors to decided what is best for her. I don't even know this family, but have been praying for a miracle. I just thought that the more people that know about her, the more prayers, the better chance she has of making it through this difficult time. As a mother, I could never even imagine this type of thing happening to my baby. If something were to happen I would want as many people praying for my baby, so that is why I finally decided to post this. If you want to read more about her and her family here is the link to her blog http://thegledhillfamily.blogspot.com/

Update

There is nothing go on in our house lately. I am hoping that spring will be here soon. This morning I actually heard birds chipping, so that's a good sign!! Hunter is a little ball of energy, he would run all day long if we would let him. He has finally started saying a few more words. He says No(to everything), Jesus(we have a calender of Christ in our kitchen and he will point to the picture and say "jsis" and then wave, it's really sweet.), Hi-ya(like he's a ninga), those are just a few that I can remember right now. He is getting so big, he has climbed out of his crib twice. I am not looking forward to the day that he really gets it, I know for sure that he will not stay in a "big boy" bed. We have also bought a "big boy" potty. It was on sale and the one I wanted. We haven't really started working with him yet. He does like to sit on it before he gets into the tub. Anyways, enough of my randomness.

Playing in the snow!

This past week we received some more snow this past week, so I decided I would take Hunter out to play. He didn't really get it, but he still had fun. I couldn't find his gloves so he had to wear socks on his hands. It was pretty cute. The only snow pants we could find were a 3T, he's in 18 months right now, and the boots were a 7 and he is in a 5. He had a hard time walking, and ended up falling alot. I think he still had fun though. I wish I had taken better pictures, but I was trying to keep his face out of the snow. We haven't been up to much lately, just doing the same old stuff. Hopefully as the weather warms up(slowly) we will be outside more and doing fun things!

P.S. My cousin is trying to sell her house. It is so cute and it is only a few years old. She has made a blog with pictures and details about her home. If you or someone you know is looking for a new house, this is a perfert home!!

Our Trip to Boise

( Brian's sister Mary)

On January 16th our niece Jennifer had her first baby, Gabriel. The weekend after he was born we were able to go visit them. It was alot of fun. While we were there we went to Cabela's, it isn't as big as the one in Lehi, UT, but it was still fun. While we were at the store they fed the fish. It was a little disturbing because they feed them dead fish and live goldfish. Brian enjoyed it! On the Sunday that we were in Boise Brian and his parents went to see his Great Aunt Alice. She is 102 and still lives in her home. Her grandson lives with her and helps around the house, but other than that she still takes care of herself. I am really happy that they were able to visit with her. We didn't do to much while were down there, but it was still fun. Hunter was really good which made the trip that much more enjoyable. He normally doesn't do well in the car but we now have a dvd player. It is a life saver!!!! If you don't have one I would suggest it to you. Hunter was in the car for a total of 6 hours on the way there and 5 on the way home and he didn't even cry once. Other than our trip to Boise 2 weeks ago we haven't been up to much. We have all had our turns for being sick so hopefully we will be able to start having a little more fun!

Rough Couple of Days

It all started last Thursday. I could tell that Hunter didn't feel the best, but he was still very active. On Friday he has diarrhea all day, I just assumed that he was teething. On Saturday we woke up and he was his normal self. We had a birthday party to go to for my cousins kids, Kolby and Jett. He was happy and had alot of fun and didn't seem sick at all. That night I had a friend come over to watch Hunter so Brian and I could go on a date. We haven't had one since our anniversary in July. Around 4 pm on Saturday Hunter felt a little warm so I gave him some Tylenol. Again, I thought that he was just teething. So Brian and I left for dinner and then we went to the movies. Just as the movie began, my friend called to tell us that his fever had gone up a little and that she was giving him more medicine. Then about 10 minutes later we got another call. She said that she was putting him in his pj's and he began to have the shivers, but he was shaking a little worse, and his lips turned blue. So we hurried home, and he was fine. His fever was still there and he was just laying around. So at this point I figured that he was sick. He had a fever all night long and into Sunday. That afternoon I called his doctor's office to see if maybe they would like to see him since his fever hadn't broken yet. The nurse said that they had seen a lot of patients that had the same symptoms, but that it was just a virus and he would be fine. Around 7pm Sunday Brian gave Hunter a bath, when he got him out of the bath he was shaking again and his lips were really blue and his hands were now blue. So I freaked out a little and wrapped him up in 2 fleece blankets. About 10 minutes later, he was still on my lap, he seemed to pass out a little. He closed his eyes and I rubbed his chest and it took about 6 seconds for him to open his. When he did open his eyes he seemed a little confused. I took his temp and it was 103.1. We hurried him to redi-care and they PA thought that he maybe had a seizure and to see his regular doctor in the morning. His temp when we got there was 103.5, they gave him some Tylenol and Motrin and sent us home. I was just glad that he was ok. At this point his temp had only dropped .2 degrees, so I felt that it was time that Hunter needed a blessing. My good friends dad was able to give him a blessing that night, he blessed him that his fever would leave his body. I took his temp about 30 mins after the blessing and it was back to normal. I am so grateful to my friends dad that he was able to do that. Without the blessing Hunter was probably in for a really rough night. I have such a testimony on the the power of the Priesthood. Later that night his fever returned, not nearly as bad this time. I made an appointment with his doctor on Monday afternoon. He doesn't think that he had a seizure, but that the sudden change in his temp made his body have the shivers to try to bring it down. I was relieved to hear that! The doctor thought that he was over the worst of it, so he didn't run any test and didn't really tell me what was wrong. On Wednesday, I babysit for a lady in my ward so that she can go to a class and ISU. While we were there Hunter had a rash brake out all over his tummy, back, and head. So I called the doctors office again and they told me that with all the other problems he had over the weekend that he had Roseola Virus. Once you get it you can't get it again and most kids by the age of 2 have already had it. I can't believe that he was so sick. It makes me feel so helpless. He is finally starting to feel better and hopefully by this weekend he will be climbing the walls again. This is a picture taken on Saturday night, he fell asleep on the floor on top of a mound of blankets. I don't know how anyone could be comfortable like this. Poor guy!

Crazy Day, or atleast 5 minutes of it!

Today has been a little crazy. Hunter learns so fast that sometimes I feel like I can't keep ahead of him. We have a gate in between our kitchen and living room so that he can't get into everything. Well he has learned how to break down the gate. It only takes him like 5 seconds. He has tried to climb over it and doesn't have any success, so he has learned to pull really hard at the bottom corner. Today I was doing the dishes and left him in the living room while I was doing them so that he didn't get hurt or into something he shouldn't. My hands are all gross from touching the dirty dishes and I can hear him pulling at the gate. So I begin to raise my voice telling him to stop. It didn't work. Since my hands were so gross I just let him do it, he broke it down and just kind of wandered up and down the hallway. I was ok with that. Then he decided it would be fun to be on top of the table. He climbed the chair and then jumped onto the table, where our laptop is at the moment. So I quickly get him down and put him back in the living room and put the gate back up. He bulldozed through it again. He wandered up and down the hallway(all the doors were closed or so I thought). He got very quite so I peeked around the corner to the hallway and there was no Hunter, only my open door to my room. I knew right then that he was in the bathroom, in my room. I ran back there to see him dunking a puzzle piece in and out of the toilet. How GROSS!!! I was so mad, this is not the first time he has done this. What is his fascination with the toilets. This all happened with in 5 minutes. He is a speedy little thing. Even if I keep my doors shut he has figured out how to open them. He is only 15 months old. AHHHH. He is a little bugger, but we love him. He definitely keeps us on our toes.

Our Christmas!!

We had such a nice Christmas, minus the blowing snow! We stayed in Idaho Falls this year and got to see my dad and Brian's parents. We got up around 7 am and opened presents at our house and then went to my dad's for more presents and a big breakfast. It was so much fun. I had hoped that Hunter would be into opening his presents this year, but he just wanted to see what everyone else was doing and play(eat) with the wrapping paper. Oh well, maybe next year. We then went to Brian's parents house and opened more presents and had dinner. It was really yummy!! We also got about a foot of snow on Christmas. In the last picture it is the drift that covered our side walk up to our apartment. You can't really tell, but it is like 4 feet high and 4 feet wide. It was nuts. I don't ever remember this much snow on Christmas. I am so blessed to have the family I do. They are so wonderful to us. I am so thankful to them all!!

A few things I want to remember about Hunter

He is now trying to say more words: Mama, dada, owie, uh-oh, nana NO, and then he just jabbers and it kinda sounds like words that I don't think someone his age could say. He will hit you and say owie and then love you better. What a little nut. He is a monkey, he climbs everything and if he falls and gets hurt he's right back at it. You would think he would learn a lesson, but no he's like his dad that way!! He is getting to be so big. We love him so much!!

Christmas Parties!!

We have been pretty busy around here lately. Brian finished his fall semester. Some of his grades aren't posted yet, but so far he has received A's and B's. Way to go hunny!! On the 13th we had our annual Wolfe Christmas party. This year we went to Pocatello and had it in a gym of one of the churches. It was a lot of fun. Santa even made an appearance. We were also invited out to my aunt and uncles family Christmas party. That was also a ton of fun. They always have yummy food out there. We played the white elephant game, had a gift exchange, and played bingo! Thanks for inviting us. Last night we went to my dad's house for our game of bingo. We play for our stocking stuffer's. We have been doing it now for like 10 years and it is so much fun. It was also Kacie's 18th birthday. I can't even believe that she is 18. I told her that she is always going to be 10 in my mind. We have had a lot of FUN this month. I can't believe Christmas in on Thursday. I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday!!

And I couldn't resist this picture of Hunter, Brian had him laughing so hard

P.S. My mom sent me this in an email. It so reminds me of my parents and probably what I will be like. It's pretty funny. http://blogs.northlandchurch.net/2008/08/11/the-mom-song/

Temple Square Lights!

This past weekend we went down to Utah to visit my mom. While we were there we were able to go see all the beautiful lights at Temple Square. I haven't been in years. It was so nice to be able to walk around Temple Square. It wasn't even that cold out. The top picture is supposed to look like it is floating on water and there are floating candles all around the pond. It was so pretty.

Me and my mom

If you look hard enough you will notice that Hunter's arms are just dangling at his sides. He wasn't able to move them to much, he was pretty bundled.

Hunter enjoyed all the lights. We weren't able to get his thumbs in his mittens so it looks like he's giving everyone a thumbs up. I love this time of year. I am so happy we were able to go see the lights, I think it was Brian's first time ever. Hopefully we can make this a tradition in our family.
